Orchard meadow in the middle of the coastal town of Sehlendorf on the Baltic Sea with sheep (for several months of the year). A mix of old apple, pear, plum, and cherry varieties, promoted by NABU Schleswig-Holstein.
In the picturesque coastal town on the Baltic Sea, a small orchard meadow was created, which is grazed by sheep for several months of the year. On an area of about 1/2 hectare, nearly 20 fruit trees grow here. These carefully selected trees, supported by the Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union Schleswig-Holstein, are old apple, pear, plum, and cherry tree varieties, perfectly adapted to the location and extremely resilient.
