The elderberry garden is an experimental plantation in permaculture on former vineyard land. For this purpose, grassland on a steep slope was cultivated at several elevation levels with fruit crops in bush, low-stem, and high-stem forms. In doing so, the grassland remains largely usable for arable crops.
