A multi-layered (syntropic) agroforestry system is being established in Weißenbronn, with standard fruit trees and berry bushes as the primary target crops. In addition, various early- and late-successional woody plants as well as herbaceous plants are integrated into the system, which consists of five layers (herbaceous layer, understory, middle layer, upper middle layer, canopy, and overstory).
