Lat: 12.834821, Lng: 51.669454
Biohof Barthel
Am Spielplatz 1a, 04880 Dommitzsch OT Greudnitz, Sachsen

At the end of March 2025, 2,500 poplars were planted in six rows across the field at the Barthel Organic Farm. The poplar strips are intended for the production of industrial timber and are also expected to improve the microclimate by slowing down the wind. Slowing down the wind is intended to counteract the rapid drying out of the sandy soil and prevent further wind erosion, so that crops can grow again without drying out.
