Demeterhof in Kooperation mit dem Verein für Umweltbildung und Erlebnispädagogik am Lindenhof Hemmersheim

On an approximately 3.5 ha field between Öllingen and Hemmersheim, a four-row agroforestry system is being established with trees of the varieties service tree, wild pear, filbert, cherry, linden, and serviceberry. The agroforestry system is managed and maintained by the Demeter farm in cooperation with the Association for Environmental Education and Experiential Learning at Lindenhof Hemmersheim. The system was designed as part of the project “Biodiversity through Agroforestry Systems” in collaboration with Burkhard Kayser. The field is surrounded by additional woody elements, such as a wild shrub hedge, traditional orchard, Benjes hedge, and tree avenue.
