Agroforst-Hühnerauslauf Elmshorn

Lat: 9.645479, Lng: 53.7147
Friedensallee , 25336 Elmshorn, Schleswig-Holstein

The fast-growing poplars were planted in the outdoor run of the new laying hen house and later of the mobile coop to make better use of the outdoor space. This is because chickens originally come from the forest and do not like open areas. At the same time, the poplars provide increased protection against birds of prey and can be used for energy wood or bedding after 5–8 years. It was also important to improve the barn’s image for local marketing purposes.
